Relevant experience: Over 20 years of practical experience in Service Management and especially ITSM. Well versed in a number of best practice frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, ISO20000, IT4IT, TOGAF. Got introduced to USM by Jan Van Bon, and have not looked back since. I am lucky to have been able to apply the USM method directly into practice in multiple different scenarios with excellent customer results.
Through my career I have worked at all levels of (internal and external) service provider organizations, as well as in customer organizations aiming to outsource or aiming to improve their outsourcing capabilities. Currently working with both the C-level personnel and customer operations of a major service provider organization.
Motivation: In USM I found the missing piece of the puzzle: how do we "Adopt and Adapt?" It takes a genius mind to simplify the often chaotic and always complicated domain of service management and different ecosystems into a practical method that is applicable to any service management scenario. Simplicity but not simple. To put it frankly, USM shook my ESM and ITSM world. I will never look at service management challenges the same way again.
