USM Awareness Workshop

In one half-day workshop, (management) teams learn to recognize the universal applicability of the USM Management System for their entire organization, or for any subset of their teams. Apply this workshop to create and stimulate the awareness among teams that they all have similar goals, they all need to cooperate, and they all should preferably find a simple and practical way to set up their interoperability for the sake of the enterprise performance. In this workshop, the teams will not only learn this, they will also determine a list of improvement initiatives that will help them on their way towards a shared goal, with the USM Method as the integrated carrier of all improvements. All improvements will then be managed in one integrated enterprise service management system.

The USM Awareness Workshop is a USM Coaching product that is delivered by a certified USM Coach. The Workshop is designed to boost the USM awareness of participants and can be used in several phases of the USM deployment:

  • As an intervention that helps you to decide for a USM deployment.
  • As an intervention that supports your leading staff in the understanding of the USM Method.
  • As an intervention that supports your employees in the understanding of the USM Method.

The objective of the workshop is to train participants in their capability to recognize and interpret their own local practices (routines) in terms of the universal USM management system. As the workshop is the introduction to USM, participants do not need any prior knowledge.

Duration

The USM Awareness Workshop takes one half day for the participants, plus the preparation time for the USM Coach.

Deliverables

  • The capability to recognize and interpret local customer interactions (practices) in terms of the USM Customer-Provider Interaction Model and the USM Process Model.
  • Improved understanding of the universal applicability of the USM Customer-Provider Interaction Model and the USM Process Model.
  • Improved understanding of the USM view, thinking and routines in the USM enterprise service management architecture and the USM enterprise service management system.
  • A concrete list of improvement initiatives for the setup and routines of the teams involved.

Cost

The cost of the workshop is determined by the workshop effort and the preparations effort. The workshop effort is technically limited to one half day, but in practice it may take more time.
The preparations include the communication, collecting and processing ‘raw’ interactions to create the local database of interactions, and preparing the workshop. This may take up to one day of work. On average, the workshop will require 1.5 day of work. Your USM Coach sets the price for the workshop.
