If you want to be certified as a USM Professional and have free access to the certified USM deployment resources (the USM Toolkit), you must first have completed the required USM training and passed the USM exam with an elevated score. Then you follow an additional professionalization track, where you demonstrate that you can explain USM convincingly to others, and that you can apply the available resources adequately.
SURVUZ Foundation provides the resources for the USM Coach, USM Trainer and USM Tool Auditor free of charge. In the half-day Train-the-Professional session, you demonstrate by means of a presentation and a peer review that you meet the requirements. Prior to that session, you will have one hour of preliminary discussion with the trainer, to get acquainted with the USM resources.
Custom rules apply for certification as a USM Product expert, because the commitment and cooperation of the relevant product owner is required.
A USM Professional always works for an accredited USM Partner from the USM Ecosystem. A self-employed USM Professional can become a USM Partner himself and then commit himself. If your organization is not yet a USM Partner, apply for the USM partnership together with the application for the USM Professional role.
