To deploy USM, a registered user organization can use all the tools available in the USM user environment.
If these tools are not enough, for example because you do not have enough employees to manage the deployment, you can make use of external resources in the form of certified USM coaches. These coaches are listed in the Register of USM Coaches.
To be sure you use products that are compatible with the USM method, you can select certified products that make your USM journey more successful. These products are listed in the USM Product Register.
The USM coaches are all trained and assessed in a USM Professional track, and they meet on a regular base to discuss the latest developments around USM and new knowledge products. In addition, the USM coaches have access to a comprehensive USM toolkit that includes numerous additional resources developed by these USM coaches. Those tools allow the USM coach to guide the deployment of USM in a more effective way.
Examples of the tools in the USM toolkit:
- a comprehensive USM roadmap for a project-based implementation of USM: a plan of action, a concrete implementation plan, and a roadmap, with all associated documents
- USM scans, including:
- USM Survey
- USM Quick Scan
- USM Assessment
- USM Self-assessment
- A development and production environment for standardized routines. This environment takes the form of a BPM tool for the development of standardized routines using USM workflow templates, and for the normalization of existing routines according to those templates. In this USM BPM tool, the organization can include its job classification design with all profiles, and link all tasks in the newly described routines to tasks in existing routines - thus realizing the organization's RACI table. The resulting routines can be exported in various formats so that they can be read back into local BPM tools, or even in a local service delivery coordination tool.
All coaches can be found in the Register, where they can be contacted directly.
