The North American market requires a new approach to (Enterprise) Service Management.
Traditional frameworks, as used in the last three decades, have proven to be insufficiently effective and extremely expensive. A new approach, developed in Europe, has demonstrated how to improve the organization's service management strategy with sustainable results at a very low cost. This can be applied in any line of business at the level of a team, an enterprise, or even at a national scale - as demonstrated by the Dutch government for their public services. Roadmap for the USM Professional Track

So, you want to register. What next?

  1. Let us know you're interested in participating. Seats are limited, because this is a one-off event, so we can't guarantee seats for all.
  2. Wait for confirmation. When we've secured your seat, you'll get a message with details about the venue, so you can book a hotel. If possible, we'll offer group arrangements.
  3. When your seat is confirmed, order it in the portal webshop.
  4. You will automatically have an account for the online edition of the USM book, and you'll receive your voucher for the USM E-learning course in the mail.
  5. You study the E-learning course and do the exam. We'll organize the exam at your convenience.
  6. To prepare for the Practitioner training,  you use your USM Foundation knowledge to do a survey on an organization of your choice. We'll send the survey question form at the start of the track. Just answer the questions about the way the selected organization has set up its service management system, and use the result as input for the USM Professional course. This will provide a lot of discussion topics for a practitioner's analysis.
  7. You then participate in the NYC or Toronto training.
  8. Once you've concluded this, you'll get access to the USM Professional online resources (instruments, raodmap, etc.) . You study these resources at your own pace, and you draft a USM elevator pitch for an imaginary user organization. This is a 30 minute presentation on the USM deployment, based on a PPT deck.
  9. You'll do a final presentation of your USM elevator pitch for a group of certified USM Professionals. They will provide feedback to help you improve your pitch deck. This way you'll get a great pitch deck you can use in your practice, explaining USM to others.
  10. When this is all done, you'll get your profile in the USM Professional Register, and you can participate in the regular meetups of USM professionals when they discuss experiences, co-develop new products, and exchange ideas. You now are a certified USM Professional and you can deliver USM guidance to your organization or your customers.
